Picking Strawberries

Yesterday I got a call from Katie asking if I wanted to go pick strawberries. Of course I said yes. I could smell the strawberries on the wind. They were so delicious!!! We definitely want to go back and get more before we leave.
I felt like yesterday was so busy. After the strawberry picking we went to Walmart and then it was to Katie's for laundry day. I spent a lot of time there looking at apartments. We also had a visiting teaching enrichment activity that night. So a lot of going yesterday.
I could NOT fall asleep last night. I had the biggest headache in the world. I probably got an hour of sleep. I have had this headache all day as well, so I've been doing a whole lot of nothing today. I hope to get a little more sleep tonight.

Lunch Date

Johnny took me out to lunch today. You may remember me raving about this Japanese place we ate at our first night here, that's where we went. It was so good and I ate so much food I got a cramp walking home.
Johnny got a calling in church as a ward missionary. He went to a training meeting tonight so I watched some tv, so I did.
I am starting to get very excited about Dominica I keep having dreams about it. I'm looking at apartments and think I found one I like. but I want to get a first hand opinion about it. Hopefully finding an apartment in Dominica goes as smoothly as Miami did.

One week + Me = Not much

Sorry I haven't written in awhile, but not much has been happening. I have been doing some more prep for Dominica. I had a dream about that beautiful island last night. I think I may subconciously be getting excited about it, subconciously ;-)
Okay Arizona family, we really want to come visit sometime during April before we head out. Just wanted to let you know so you have a heads up bucause our plans will probably be very short notice. Also if anybody is willing to let us stay with them it would be appritiated. We love you all and want to spend some quality time. We expect some family game nights, be prepared to LOSE!

Happy Valentine's Day

I have to tell you I am not the biggest fan of Valentine's Day. I think that it is really commercial and I think you should show your love for people everyday not just one. Johnny on the other hand likes Valentine's day. So I decided I didn't want to spoil it for him. I made a valentine for him and wrote a letter to him on the back of it. He got me a balloon with a bag of chocolates on the end of it. I also made a big dinner for us.
I want to say to my Family and friends, I love you! I think of you often and miss spending time with you. I teach primary in church and this week we had a lesson on family. It is so amazing the God made a plan for us that we can have families and we can be with them forever. You all are my best friends! I love you!!!

Santa, please bring me wireless internet!

I am over at Katie's right now and it is reiterating my want for wireless internet. I have gotten so much done in this two hour stint. Things I've been wanting to for a couple weeks. I also have time to write on my blog, which I haven't done in awhile. I know its more important for Johnny to have it, but sometimes I just want to check my facebook!
Here is a picture of beautiful Dominica just cause its on the brain.

Food Glorius Food

Today I spent getting our passport applications ready. I made sure they were filled out correctly and then we went with Katie and the kids to get our pictures taken. This is may be really weird, but I have always looked forward to the day that I get my passport. I guess it just means I'm one step closer to my world travels. I hope to fill it one day. I know it won't happen any time soon, but I'll get there!
I have decided to make weekly menus. It makes deciding what to make for dinner and my grocery store trips a lot easier. I made tortillas again yesterday. I don't know what I did different, but the dough turned out so much better than it ever has before. They were so yummy! There is nothing like fresh tortillas with butter! I also tried a new meal this week, Eggplant Parmesan. It was so good. I was talking to Katie yesterday, and expressed this thought. I have the hardest time spending more than $7 on a t-shirt, but no problem spending $12 going out to eat. Is that twisted or what?

Life as I know it.

Well its the same old story here. Yesterday Johnny DID take a break from studying and we walked to Target. He bought me a Magic Bullet. We have heard from some Ross students that it is very handy on the island. They made smoothies all the time, plus it doubles as a compact food processer, cheese grater, and mixer. I have been getting back into the thought process that I'm going to have to move to a third world country in a couple of months, and trying to get ready for it. There is so much to do and so little time.
